Remembering Shirley DeGrey

I want to thank you for the excellent article and picture regarding the passing of Shirley DeGrey that appeared in the April 11 Valley Sun.

I had the joy and privilege of working alongside Shirley in the music program at La Cañada United Methodist Church for many years, namely leading the children’s choir together for more than 10 years.

Shirley was an amazing, talented, thoughtful person, and I was truly honored to have her as my friend. She will be sorely missed by family, friends and the numerous community organizations touched by her beautiful life.
