Letter: Ad creators got their schooling elsewhere

Had the anonymous drafters of the “PATRIOT PAC“ half-page ad in opposition to the parcel tax attended La Cañada schools they would not associate the deceased chief executive of Apple, a corporation long associated with questionable Mainland China labor and safety practices (Foxconn) and aggressive tax avoidance in the USA and abroad, with communism (red fist).

More importantly, their opposition to the concept of academic tenure or sport activities has nothing to do with back-filling state funding shortfalls to the La Cañada public schools. Their manifesto seems very ill-considered and completely unresponsive to the funding crisis at hand. A La Cañada graduate could be relied upon to understand the critical issue at hand.
