Icenogle to become LCPC’s interim pastor

La Cañada Presbyterian Church welcomes back the Rev. Dr. Gareth Icenogle, who will serve as interim pastor beginning Oct. 26. Icenogle served at the church as an adult education intern and an assistant music director while a Fuller Theological Seminary student in 1979-81.

Icenogle will serve as primary preacher and head of staff at the church while it searches for a permanent replacement for the Rev. Dr. Gary Dennis, who retired in July after 24 years at the La Cañada church.

“I am excited and honored to be ‘back home’ at LCPC,” stated Icenogle, who has been married to wife Vida for 40 years and has two adult daughters and one granddaughter.

Icenogle has been pastor at several Presbyterian churches around the country: Sherman Oaks; Dallas, Texas; Bethlehem, Pa.; Washington, D.C.; and Ridgewood, N.J.

On Sundays, the church, located at 626 Foothill Blvd., offers a traditional worship service at 7:55 a.m., a blended service at 9:25 a.m. and a contemporary service with praise band at 11 a.m. For more information, visit lacanadapc.org or call (818) 790-6708.
