Sisters Ally and Cassie McKenzie didn’t play together this season in doubles for the La Cañada High girls’ tennis team. Although both sisters were the Spartans’ top two singles players this season, the two were paired together to play doubles in the Rio Hondo League Tournament. The pairing worked to perfection, as Ally and Cassie, seeded No. 2, breezed to a 6-2, 6-0 win Thursday against the No. 1-seeded San Marino duo of Madeline Gandawidjaja and Sophie Lee at Live Oak Park in Temple City for the championship.
