Eirene Kim, Senior, Libero, La Cañada

All-Area Player of the Year candidate was an All-CIF first-team selection after leading the Spartans to the CIF Southern Section Division II-A semifinals. Digging balls most players couldn’t touch, the Rio Hondo League’s co-Most Valuable Player recorded a team-high 435 digs and 49 aces.

Jocelyn Cervantes, Junior, Outside Hitter, Bellarmine-Jefferson

The All-Area first-team pick for the second straight season posted impressive offensive and defensive numbers this season. Led Guards to a 17-7 record and first-place in the Santa Cruz League. Santa Cruz League Player of the Year accumulated 317 kills, 165 digs and 44 aces.

Katie Pierce, Sophomore, Middle Blocker, La Cañada

Rio Hondo League’s co-Most Valuable Player anchored the Spartans’ front line, propelling La Cañada to a 30-4 record and a first-place finish in league. The All-Area standout was often called upon for a big kill, finishing the season with 232 kills, 146 digs, 42 aces and 26 blocks.

Kendall Walbrecht, Sophomore, Outside Hitter, La Cañada

Fueled the Spartans to the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section Division II playoffs. The All-Rio Hondo League first-team member provided most of La Cañada’s firepower when the team was hit with injuries, racking up a team-high 330 kills.

Kirstie Shurie, Junior, Setter, La Cañada

Racked up a mind-boggling 984 assists en route to being selected for Rio Hondo League’s first team. Helped the Spartans finish first in league with a 10-0 league record and make a playoff run.

Leah Gagliardi, Senior, Outside Hitter, Crescenta Valley

All-Pacific League first-team pick and two-time All-Area standout enjoyed another fine season, providing the Falcons with 200 kills.
