Rebels bounce Notre Dame, 13-8

Flintridge Prep 13, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 8: Ethan Vandeventer collected a team-high six goals Tuesday to spark the host Rebels (14-10) in a nonleague match. Jack Purvis and Kellan Rohde each scored a pair of goals for Flintridge Prep.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Chadwick 3, Flintridge Prep 0: Julia Miller finished with a team-high seven kills as visiting Flintridge Prep concluded its season Tuesday with a 25-13, 25-10, 25-14 Prep League defeat. Olivia Gaines collected five kills for the Rebels (4-15, 1-11 in league).

South Torrance 2, La Cañada 0: The Spartans beefed up their schedule before CIF Southern Section Division II-AA playoffs by competing in the Redondo Union Tournament. La Cañada started out strong, winning its first two matches in the best-of-three tournament against La Jolla (25-16, 25-21) and West Ranch (25-22, 25-11) before dropping its last three against Centennial (18-25, 25-23, 15-13), San Clemente (25-20, 25-19) and South Torrance (25-19, 25-22).

Micaela Anderson had a team-high 44 kills in the tournament and Kendall Walbrecht had 28. Catherine Horner had a team-high 24 digs.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

San Marino 15, La Cañada 3: The Spartans closed out the regular season with the Titans, perennial Rio Hondo League champions, Monday. San Marino dominated, as La Cañada pulled out three wins in singles play. Sharon Kim picked up a 6-2 victory and Sawa Keymeuler picked up two 6-0 victories.
