GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 69, Maranatha 15: Lana Haddad finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds Tuesday to lift the host Tologs in a nonleague contest.

Flintridge Sacred Heart (7-7) received 14 points from Nora Welsh and nine points, seven assists and seven steals from Dana Budzyn.

La Cañada 52, El Segundo 44: Courtney Chen led the charge for the Spartans once again Tuesday, as she scored a team-high 19 points to go with six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Sydney Zarate had 10 points and five rebounds and Lauren Barsamian had a team-high seven rebounds and nine points for La Cañada (8-7).

The Spartans will begin Rio Hondo League play Friday when they visit Blair at 5:15 p.m.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Hart 4, La Cañada 0: Armand Bagramyan didn’t start Tuesday due to disciplinary reasons and injured his ankle after entering the game as a substitute. It’s bad news for the Spartans, as Bagramyan is the team’s leading goal scorer so far this season with 11 goals. Jeff Becker has the second most goals for La Cañada to this point with three.

The Spartans (7-5-1) hit the road Friday to open Rio Hondo League play at Blair at 3:15 p.m.
