Francisco Baez, Senior, Midfielder, Burroughs

Enjoyed record-breaking season with 18 goals — which all came in league play and were a team record — and nine assists. Earned All-Pacific League and All-CIF Division IV first-team accolades.

Armand Bagramyan, Junior, Forward, La Cañada

Fueled Spartans offense, which had 52 scores, with 23 goals and 15 assists. Named Rio Hondo League’s Offensive Most Valuable Player and secured All-CIF Division V first-team honors.

Thomas Banks, Senior, Defender, St. Francis

Made smooth transition from midfielder to become one of Golden Knights’ top back liners. Named to All-Mission League and All-CIF Division I first teams after helping St. Francis stay in contention for league title up until final week of the season and upset Upland in first round of playoffs.

Alex Berger, Senior, Midfielder, Crescenta Valley

All-Area Player of the Year candidate racked up awards while helping Falcons to best season in program history. All-Pacific League Most Valuable Player had 10 goals and 29 assists to help Falcons win CIF Division IV title with unbeaten record. Named All-CIF Division IV Player of the Year after leading CV to within one win of CIF Southern California Regional title.

Kevin Geddes, Junior, Midfielder, Maranatha

Registered 19 goals and four assists. All-Olympic League Most Valuable Player led Minutemen to league crown.

Salar Hajimirsadeghi, Senior, Midfielder, Crescenta Valley

All-Pacific League first-team pick collected five goals and three assists and was a crucial leader in Falcons’ title run. Also earned All-CIF Division IV first-team recognition.

Matt Laterza, Senior, Forward, St. Francis

Led Golden Knights’ offensive attack, notching team-high 13 goals and six assists to earn All-Mission League first-team honors despite playing sparingly because of injuries. Selected to All-CIF Division I first team.

Andrew Powers, Senior, Midfielder, La Salle

Had 10 goals and seven assists en route to being named to All-Del Rey League first team. Picked up All-CIF Division IV second-team accolades.

Nick Ruiz, Senior, Goalkeeper, Crescenta Valley

Registered 14 shutouts, including seven in Pacific League and three in the postseason. All-Pacific League first-team pick also made huge plays in playoff run and net All-CIF Division IV first-team honors.

Matt Schmutzer, Senior, Sweeper, Crescenta Valley

Falcons’ top defender and All-Pacific league first-team pick played big role in Crescenta Valley notching 14 shutouts. Earned All-CIF Division IV second-team selection.

Erick Trejo, Junior, Midfielder, Crescenta Valley

Collected 10 goals and 11 assists and named to All-Pacific League second team. Also earned spot on All-CIF Division IV third team.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Grant Clark, Crescenta Valley

Presided over finest season in the area and best in program history in piloting Falcons to a 23-1-6 record, a third straight Pacific League crown and first-ever CIF Southern Section Division IV championship in first season at the helm.
