All-Area Softball Second Team

IF – Laina Do, Junior, Burbank

Shortstop was a perfect 20 for 20 stealing bases, while also hitting .444 with 36 hits, 27 RBI and 27 runs in a second-team All-Pacific League season.

IF – Kelsey Drange, Senior, La Cañada

First baseman came up clutch over and over in playoffs, including a two-out RBI in a 1-0 win over Nipomo in the semifinals. Hit .390 and notched a .493 on-base percentage with just three strikeouts all season and no errors at first base.

UTL – Mireya Hernandez, Junior, Mayfield

Cubs backstop was the Prep League Most Valuable Player after hitting .506 on 39 hits, adding 34 runs batted in, 20 runs scored four home runs, seven doubles and seven stolen bases.

IF – Nalani Hernandez, Senior, Burbank

Second-team All-Pacific Leaguer hit .419 with 36 hits, 30 RBI, six home runs and 28 runs scored.

OF – Kelly Jacobs, Junior, Flintridge Sacred Heart

An All-Mission League first-team selection, the left fielder hit .466 to go along with 16 runs batted in and 11 stolen bases.

UTL – Chelsea Johnson, Soph., Flintridge Prep

It was a season of struggles for the Rebels, but the third baseman and first-team All-Prep League pick was a highlight, hitting .559 with 13 runs, 13 RBI and an .882 slugging percentage.

C – Allison Lacey, Senior, Crescenta Valley

First-team All-Pacific League catcher, was a team leader brimming with phenomenal intangibles and defensive ability. In addition, she hit .515 with 15 runs batted in and 30 runs scored.

OF – Selina Mohr, Junior, La Cañada

All-Rio Hondo League first-team selection hit .365 with 27 hits, 13 runs and nine RBI out of the No. 9 spot in the order.

P – Jackie Pai, Soph., Westridge

First-team All-Prep League selection posted an 8-3 record with a 1.35 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 72 1/3 innings.

IF – Sofia Palacios, Sophomore, Bellarmine-Jefferson

First-team All-Santa Cruz League pick hit .593 with 36 RBI, 24 runs and 18 extra-base hits.

P – Haley Schulman, Senior, Burroughs

Pacific League Most Valuable Player and All-CIF first-teamer posted a 17-4 record with a 2.15 ERA with 137 strikeouts in 136 2/3 innings, while batting .354 with 17 RBI.

OF – Jaylen Watson, Sophomore, Bellarmine-Jefferson

First-team all-leaguer returned to the All-Area team after posting a .452 average with 33 runs and 31 RBI.
