SPORTS ROUNDUP: Anders Schraer, Andres Kim lead St. Francis baseball to victory


St. Francis 5, Pasadena 4: The Golden Knights improved to 2-2 on Thursday with a win in the Arcadia Elks Tournament, paced by Anders Schraer and Andres Kim.

Schraer had two hits, two runs batted in and two stolen bases, while Kim had a pair of hits, two runs and a stolen base.


Village Christian 17, Flintridge Prep 3 (five innings): Ashley Kim finished with a double, run batted in and stolen base on Thursday for the host Rebels (1-2) in a nonleague contest called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.


Flintridge Prep 240, Azusa 288: Jack Bouchard finished with a two-over-par 36 on Thursday to lead the visiting Rebels (2-0) in a nonleague match at Azusa Greens Golf Course.

Jonah Sachs had a 40 for the Rebels, who saw coach Bob Loughrie pick up his 299th career victory with the program.

Loughrie will try for his 300th win Tuesday when the Rebels meet Temple City in a nonleague match at Altadena Golf Course.

Harvard Westlake 194, St. Francis 197: Vince De Pinto and Michael Finney each finished with one-over-par 38s on Thursday in a Mission League match at Encino Golf Course. Jack Tenney had a 39 for the Golden Knights, who got a 40 from Michael Mozilo.
