Special recognition was given during the luncheon to Carolyn Hanna, who has been a member of the guild for more than 30 years. Hanna was presented with an honorary lifetime membership. Her other local involvements include La Cañada Valley Beautiful, St. Bede the Venerable Church and Girl Scouts.
Flintridge Guild of Children’s Hospital plans and executes fundraising events on behalf of the Los Angeles institution, with all proceeds collected going directly to Children’s Hospital. The next big event the group has planned is a Chocolate Race, set for May 1, that will take place in La Cañada. More details on this event will be released as the date draws closer, guild officials said.
