La Cañada Presbyterian group holds planning retreat

La Cañada Presbyterian Church Parent Education kicked off its 37th year recently during its annual board and staff retreat held at Linda Fults’ home in Newport Beach. The retreat was led by program director Anne Bierling, and provided an opportunity for board and staff members to plan for the upcoming year. They also discussed their new theme for the year: “Delight Yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).
Serving with Bierling this year are staff members Nanette Brown, Paige Dunbar, Elizabeth Flynn, Jana De Gange, Jennifer Genske, Nicole Ravana, Sandy Ravana, Jan Roberts. Allie Schreiner, Tracy Tobias, Mary Van Amringe, Jana Van Dyck and Sloan Walsh.
Volunteer board members who raise funds and host special events for Parent Education are: Doreen Aitelli, Margaret Caldwell, Hillary Clayburgh, Julie Engler. Wendy Funkhouser, Lynne Graves, Katrina Harbers, Katherine Loevinger, Maggie Mason, Sandy Padgett, Carol Van Citters and Meg Wade.
Ministry Support Team members are all former board members who serve as an advisory council: Julie Engler, Melanie Frey, Lynne Graves, Julie Hale, Kathy Kovalcik, Sarah Nagel and Sandy Padgett. Elder Liaisons who represent Parent Education on the LCPC Session are Scott Keys and Lynne Graves.
