Ground breaks for sound walls in La Cañada
City officials broke ground this week on the site of one of three sound walls that will be constructed to shield noise from the Foothill (210) Freeway.
The ceremony took place on Monday, Dec. 16 on Curran Street, near where one of the sound walls will be built.
The sound walls, which are expected to reduce sound by a few decibels, will feature a design that represents the outlines of mountains.
