Where PG&E has shut off power

Pacific Gas & Electric announced Monday would could shut off power to 605,000 customers Tuesday and Wednesday in its latest bid to reduce the wildfire risk. The utility has been turning off power to avoid fires sparked by electric lines.

PG&E will open several community resource centers to help those affected by the outages. The company warned that outages could last more than 48 hours, and suggested customers should prepare for outages lasting several days.
