Police are investigating a stabbing in Burbank that left a 44-year-old man hospitalized on Halloween, police said.
Around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to Florence Street and Chandler Boulevard, where they found the man with a stab wound to his upper body, said Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.
The stabbing had occurred about a mile-and-a-half away on the 1000 block of West Magnolia Boulevard, where officers served a search warrant Sunday morning to recover evidence.
During the investigation, a man showed up at the police station and told investigators he'd had an altercation with the stabbing victim, who underwent surgery for his injuries.
The man was interviewed and released pending further investigation, Losacco said.
Further details were not immediately available.
