French-American pastry shop opens in Burbank

The French Confection Co., a French-American pastry shop, opened recently in Burbank.

Located at 3118 W. Burbank Blvd., the shop sells items such as homemade chocolate chip cookies and French macaroons, which have assorted flavors such as crème brulee, pumpkin, salted caramel and chocolate hazelnut.

The shop also sells a variety of cupcakes with flavors such as red velvet, vanilla and chocolate-chip cookie dough.

The business was started in 2010 by Mallory Rajan, and she initially focused on catering and special events.
