Burbank Arts For All Foundation awards $26,000 in grants
The Burbank Arts For All Foundation helped fulfill a dozen grant requests from educators in Burbank schools recently by providing about $26,200 in grants to support arts education in local elementary, middle and high schools.
The grants were approved last month, said Trena Pitchford, the foundation’s executive director, during a school board meeting last week.

The money went to purchase materials as well as support drama, visual arts, dance, vocal and instrumental music programs. It also helped pay for sound and lighting equipment in auditoriums.
In the 11 years since the foundation was established, it has provided more than $429,000 to Burbank schools, Pitchford said.
