Crews hauling debris out of basins by the truckloads

Share

Following the mudslides in Burbank last month, crews from the L.A. County Public Works department have been hauling debris out of six basins and transporting it to a sediment placement site in Glendale.

The cleanup operation is expected to continue through mid-March, though the effort could take longer if there are more heavy rains, according to Steven Frasher, a public works spokesman.

Drivers will be working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but the hauling frequency is expected to decrease as the project progresses, Frasher said.
