Measure S funds pay for several BUSD projects in June

New modular classrooms have been set in place at Stevenson Elementary School. Installation of roofing has begun, and the scaffolding is be erected for the stucco installation. Renovation of the site’s exterior fence has started, and installation of the network infrastructure has also begun.

Construction is on hold at Harte Elementary School until the child-care center can be certified and relocated. Once relocated, the abatement and demolition of the existing portable buildings will resume. Installation of network infrastructure and the latest technology are complete.

Several of the existing portable classrooms have been demolished and removed at Jefferson Elementary School. Installation of underground utilities has started, while installation of the network infrastructure and latest technology are complete.

Painting has started at Luther Middle School. The network infrastructure is complete, and the speaker installation is 98% complete across campus.

Installation of network infrastructure and the latest technology are complete at Burbank High School, with the exception of four added classrooms.

Construction of one of the buildings at Mann Children’s Center, which has administrative offices and classrooms, is complete, and the teachers and students have moved into it. The contractor has started construction on the site’s other building, which has only classrooms, with abatement and demolition. The contractor has also started the installation of utilities.

A painting project at Muir Middle School is progressing. Installation of network infrastructure and the latest technology are complete.

Installation of the network infrastructure is finished at John Burroughs High School. Speaker installation is 80% complete across the campus.

The ball walls on the playgrounds at Emerson and Roosevelt elementary schools are complete. The logo at Emerson still needs to be fitted.

Cable installation is 25% complete, and five of the equipment racks have been installed for the network infrastructure at Jordan Elementary School.

The network infrastructure and “21st Century Classroom” are complete at Miller and Washington elementary Schools. Programming of the systems is in progress.

Network infrastructure is roughed in and replacement of the equipment is scheduled this month at McKinley Elementary School.

The network infrastructure is 90% complete at Providencia Elementary School. Installation of the “21st Century Classroom” is complete.

A contractor has been rescheduled to begin a painting project this month at the child center at Emerson Elementary School.
