Letter: Burbank Historical Society celebrates an aviation pioneer

Share

This Saturday, March 19 at 2 p.m., the Burbank Historical Society will proudly present a free program on one of history’s greatest aviation pioneers, Moye Stephens, co-founder of Northrop.

Stephens hobnobbed with such other aviation legends as Jack Northrop and Howard Hughes and even flew around the world on a plane called the Flying Carpet at a time when this was still seen as incredible.

If you are an aviation buff, a history hobbyist, and/or love Lockheed, you’ll enjoy this! The Burbank Historical Society/Gordon R. Howard museum is located next to the Creative Arts Center in George Izay Park on Olive Avenue. Free parking is available off of Clark Avenue.

We look forward to seeing you there!
