Letter: Police importance comes to the fore

While the city of San Bernardino has suffered bankruptcy and seriously bad and perhaps corrupt management and the county of San Bernardino has had some very misguided managers, the San Bernardino Police Department and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department performed with valor and professionalism under extreme stress this last week. I hope they get the credit they deserve and the appreciation of their public!

It is time we all say “thank you” for superior law enforcement, valor and dedication rather than permit prosecution, persecution, slander and mistrust to characterize our relationship with those who are giving their lives that we may be safer!
