Letters to the Editor: City should not consider rent control ordinance

I find it hard to believe that the Burbank City Council would consider rent control, since I’ve learned from three of the five-member council (the majority) that they don’t own rental properties. How can they have a clue what it takes to maintain a building?

Mayor Will Rogers should not even have brought this up to begin with. He and the other council members need to focus on the budget, not on how to make property owners give tenants a free ride. Please don’t make Burbank the city that gives things away.
