The mud and debris collected from the recent storm and flash flood at the Sunset Deer (Canyon) Debris Basin on Country Club Drive has been removed in Burbank, on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018. The debris basin filled up with about 4,000 cubic yards of debris during the storm. About 600 trucks of debris have been taken away so far from three basins. The mud and debris collected from the recent storm and flash flood at the Upper Sunset Debris Basin on Country Club Drive has been removed in Burbank, on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018. The debris basin received about 16,000 cubic yards of debris and filled to the top during the storm. Additional construction to raise the height and capacity to the dam was destroyed by the storm about one week from completion. About 600 trucks of debris have been taken away from three basins so far. The debris is being taken to and taken to am L.A. County dump site next to Glendale’s Deukmejian Wilderness Park.
