Burroughs 2, Hoover 0: Host Burroughs picked up a Pacific League win Thursday at Memorial Field.
Burroughs (9-5-1, 3-1-1 in league) received goals from Esteban Alcantar and David Gerlach. Sebastian Klemkerian recorded the shutout in goal.
The game was a makeup from a contest that was rained out Tuesday.

Providence 86, de Toledo 76: The Pioners notched their first Independence League victory Thursday evening at home.
Providence is 11-6, 1-1 in league.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Providence 53 Archer 29: Sarah Cox had 15 points to lead the Pioneers to a Liberty League win Thursday evening at home.
Ariel Gordillo added 11 points, five rebounds and four assists and Francesca Maravilla chipped in with nine points for Providence (12-5, 2-0 in league).
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Providence 3, Pilibos 0: Cecile Habash had two goals to lead the Pioneers to a victory Wednesday evening at Occidental College.
Claire Davis added a goal and Cali Selders had an assist for Providence (3-0-1).
