Sports Roundup: Burroughs girls’ soccer earns rivalry shutout

Burroughs 4, Burbank 0: The Indians had no trouble gaining the Pacific League win Friday afternoon at home.

Burroughs (11-2-2, 6-1-1 in league) jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the half against the Bulldogs (1-8-2, 0-5-2).

Providence 9, Canoga Park Armenian General Benevolent Union 0: Orla Dempsey had a goal and two assists to pace the Pioneers to an Independence League win Friday on the road.

Claire Davis, Micaella Haban, Iliana Marmesshteyn, Shannon Walsh and Cecile Habash also had goals for Providence (7-0-2, 2-0 in league).
