Sports Roundup: Zozulenko’s 30 points leads Providence girls’ basketball into finals
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Providence 67, Mayfield 48: Melissa Zozulenko had 30 points and five steals to pace the Pioneers to a win Friday in the 29th Annual Paul Sutton Tip-Off Classic.
Francesca Maravilla added 13 points, six rebounds and four steals and Giselle Camonayan chipped in with 10 points for Providence (3-0).
Providence will play St. Genevieve at 6 p.m. today in the tournament championship.
Burbank 49, Archer 28: The Bulldogs (1-2) got into the win column with a road victory Friday in the Brentwood Tournament.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Viewpoint 3, Providence 2: The Pioneers received goals from Montgomery Greene and Elias Ferguson in the nonleague loss Friday on the road.

Burbank in Burbank Tournament: The Bulldogs won both of their pool-play matches Thursday at home.
Burbank opened with a 9-7 win against Louisville and then defeated Torrance, 8-3.
The Bulldogs (3-1) will take part in the championship round at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Burbank 79, Valley Academy of Arts and Sciences 39: Angel Ibarra had 17 points to lead the Bulldogs to a win Friday in a final pool-play game of the Burbank Bulldog Tournament.
Erik Harutyunyan added 10 points for Burbank (2-1).
Stockdale 64, Bellarmine-Jeefferson 37: The Guards (0-5) fell in the final pool-play game of the Burbank Bulldog Tournament on Friday.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Burroughs 7, Eagle Rock 0: The Indians didn’t allow a shot on goal in recording the nonleague victory Friday at Memorial Field.
Megan Rangel-Lynch and Lauren Bailey had two goals each for Burroughs (2-0), while Abbie Riggs added a goal and an assist.
West Ranch 6, Burbank 0: The Bulldogs slipped to 0-2 with the nonleague loss Friday afternoon on the road.
