Sports Roundup: Burroughs, Providence girls’ soccer record lopsided wins
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Burroughs 4, Louisville 1: The Indians extended their record to 4-1-1 with a nonleague win Tuesday afternoon at Memorial Field.
The Indians trailed, 1-0, before scoring four straight goals.
Burroughs received goals from Trinity Vournas, Catrina Villalpando, Anna Kasper and Orla Giffen.
Providence 7, Yeshiva 0: Claire Davis had a huge game for the Pioneers, scoring four goals and dishing out an assist in the nonleague win Monday on the road.
Orla Dempsey added two goals, Kelly Fitzgerald had a goal and two assists and Veronica Hunstable had an assist for Providence (3-0-1).
South Pasadena 10, Burbank 0: The Bulldogs (0-5) fell Tuesday afternoon in a nonleague match on the road.
Pasadena 2, Burbank 0: The Bulldogs fell to 0-2 in the Pacific League with the loss Monday afternoon at home.

Burbank 1, South Pasadena 1: The Bulldogs (2-1-2) earned a nonleague draw Tuesday afternoon at home.
Burroughs 2, Westlake 1: The Indians came back with two goals in the second half to earn the win Saturday evening in the Ralph Brandt Tournament.
Providence 3 Milken 2: Bryan Ortiz had goals and one assist to pace the Pioneers to a nonleague win Monday afternoon on the road.
Patrick Avedikian had a goal and an assist, Elias Ferguson had a goal and goalkeeper Isaac DiSalvo made six saves for Providence (3-1-1).

Burbank 14, Beverly Hills 0: The Bulldogs coasted to a nonleague road win Tuesday.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Burbank 69, Covina 61: The Bulldogs (5-1) opened the Azuza Tournament with a win Monday.
San Marino 56, Providence 47: The Pioneers lost Saturday in the third-place game of the Pasadena Poly Tournament.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Alhambra 51, Providence 46: A tough third quarter in which they were outscored, 22-6, led to a loss for the Pioneers Saturday in the third-place game of the Pasadena Poly Tournament.
Melissa Zozulenko had 19 points and Frankie Maravilla added 12 points for Providence.
Paraclete 55, Burbank 52: The Bulldogs (3-6) fell Saturday in the consolation round of Burroughs Magnolia Park Optimist Tournament.
Pasadena 55, Burroughs 33: The Indians (3-2) managed just 11 points in the second half Saturday in the consolation game of the Burroughs Magnolia Park Optimist Tournament.
