Sports Roundup: Burbank basketball wins Azusa Tournament

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Burbank 52, Ayala 38: The Bulldogs captured the championship of the Azusa Tournament on Thursday evening.

Jared Pasion had 14 points and Chance Van Hook added 10 for Burbank (8-1).

Burbank 72, Santiago 64 (overtime): The Bulldogs battled back to win a semifinal game Wednesday evening in the Azusa Tournament.

Burbank was down 19 points at half, 13 at the end of three quarters.

Erik Harutyunyan had 18 points, Xavier Davis added 17, Tyrese Willis had 14 and Leo Tahmasian chipped in 10.

Burbank 70, Gabrielino 50: The Bulldogs notched a win in the Azusa Tournament Tuesday evening.

Calabasas 13, Burbank 6: The Bulldogs fell Friday in a nonleague match on the road.

Burbank (4-4) received three goals each from Michelle Morlock and Sune Aghakian.
