Burbank 17, Glendale 16: Sune Aghakian finished with nine goals and Lexi Lyneis added four on Thursday to propel host Burbank to a Pacific League win.

The Bulldogs improved to 5-7, 1-3 in league.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Providence 40, Holy Martyrs 21: The visiting Pioneers received 14 points from Francesca Maravilla to cruise to a Liberty League win Thursday.

Providence (9-9, 4-0 in league) received 11 points, eight steals and four rebounds from Melissa Zozulenko and eight points, nine rebounds and five steals from Sarah Cox.
