A small attic fire Monday afternoon caused an estimated $45,000 in damage to a single-story Burbank home, authorities said.

At 4:13 p.m., firefighters were called to the 600 block of North Lincoln Street, where officials reported smoke showing from the roof vents, said Burbank Fire Capt. Peter Hendrickson.

From inside the home, authorities pulled down the ceilings to locate the fire, which was contained in the attic.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation Tuesday, Hendrickson said.

Most of the damage – or about $40,000 worth -- was to the structure of the building, while $5,000 of the damage was to contents, Hendrickson said.
