North Hollywood apartment fire injures five people, one gravely
One person is in grave condition and four others were injured after a fire broke out at a two-story apartment complex Monday.
FireFirefighters were called to the blaze at 5158 Riverton Avenue in the San Fernando Valley at around 10:15 a.m., a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said.
Three people were treated and released at the scene, KTLA-TV reported.
Two others were transported to a local hospital, one in grave condition, fire officials said.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames in just less than 30-minutes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
