Caltrans closes northbound I-5 lanes in Burbank for pavement repairs

Construction crews plan to reopen up to three of the northbound lanes on the Golden State (5) Freeway near Buena Vista Street by 2 p.m. Tuesday, officials announced.

The lane closures were needed to repair damaged pavement, according to a notice from the California Department of Transportation.

A Sigalert was issued at 12:27 p.m. for the construction zone, which is already slowing traffic on the I-5 corridor through Burbank.
