Vintage Burbank police car earns award

The Burbank Police Department’s 1949 vintage Ford police cruiser was named “Best Specialty Vehicle” this year by the California Peace Officers Assn.

Burbank police will accept the award at the annual COPSWEST law enforcement expo next week in Ontario.

The cruiser has been completely restored with the help of donations from local businesses and residents, police said.
