San Fernando Valley roundup: Man shot in Woodland Hills, Studio City approves Evolution plan

Good morning, readers. Today is Friday, October 19. Two shootings have occurred in the region in the past couple of days.

In Woodland Hills, a man was shot near Taft High School Thursday afternoon, reports the Daily News.

And in Vany Nuys, an armed man was shot and killed by police, the L.A. Times reports. He was originally thought to be in possession of a machete or knife.

After going through a series of changes, it looks like the NBCUniversal Evolution plan is starting to form. The Studio City Neighborhood Council approved the plan Wednesday night, reports Patch.

A pacemaker device made in a Sylmar factory is expected to get a warning from the FDA, reports the SFV Business Journal.
