A woman suffered head injuries Saturday in Burbank after her horse-drawn carriage overturned and she was ejected from the vehicle, police said.

At around 11:30 a.m., the woman – who was not identified – was driving the carriage on Main Street toward Riverside Drive in the Rancho District when the horse likely “got spooked” while walking up the curb, causing the carriage to topple, said Burbank Police Sgt. Gerry Misquez.

The woman, the sole passenger of the carriage, was taken to USC for evaluation. No other injuries were reported.
