Centenarian celebrates birthday this month

Geraldine Neva Stallard will be celebrating her 100th birthday on Jan. 27.

She was born in Howe, Okla. on Jan. 27, 1912. She met her husband, Stuart, in Blythe, Calif., and eventually moved to Burbank to raise their three children, Connie, Bill and Jeanette.

Stallard was active in the schools, and served as PTA president at William McKinley elementary school as well as being involved in the community. She was also High Priestess of the Ladies Oriental Shine Khaba Court, Los Angeles, where she was very involved in the Shriners Childrens Hospital.

She and her husband eventually moved to Palo Verde, Calif., where they owned and operated a small mobile home park. For the past few years she has been residing with her daughter in Burbank. She has two remaining children living, nine grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
