Thieves take guns, more from residence

Share

A handgun, two rifles and other items were stolen from a Burbank home Monday after thieves wriggled in through an unlocked kitchen window, police said.

Between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m., an unknown number of suspects entered the home — located in the 300 block of Via Montana — and stole the weapons, an Apple laptop, Nikon camera and jewelry, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

Police encourage residents to secure their homes.

“What burglars look for is open access,” Ryburn said.

Anyone with information about the theft is urged to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3210.
