Pet of the week: Riley

Share

Riley is an 18-month-old, handsome orange tabby with a quiet personality and a loving nature. He is a former foster kitten who was returned to the Kitten Foster Program when his owners found themselves unable to continue to care for him. Riley’s favorite pastimes are sleeping in the sun and snuggling next to the human members of his foster family. He is also known around his household for his special talent—using his paws to drink water from his dish. Riley could be an only cat or will share space with other cats or even with dogs, as long as they are gentle and like cats. A home without small children would be best for this special guy. To meet Riley, contact his foster parent Cathy at cathy@thevbas.org or (213) 453-4679.

The Burbank Animal Shelter is at 1150 N. Victory Place, Burbank. For more information, call (818) 238-3340. To view Riley or all available pets, visit www.thevbas.org. The shelter hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, and closed major holidays. Adoption fees are dogs $104; cats $78; and bunnies $30, and prices include spaying or neutering, vaccinations and microchip.
