San Fernando Valley roundup: Indie band blooms from the Valley, Albertsons closes stores and SWAT team can't find 'crazy' man

Good morning, readers. Today is Friday, September 7. Three sisters and one man with roots in the Valley are making a name for themselves in the indie music world.

A 59-year-old Sylmar woman died last week after being lit on fire, reports LAist. Her son was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A woman's report that her husband was "going crazy" and in posession of a gun led SWAT officers to surround the Canoga Park home Thursday, according to the Daily News. But when they finally entered the residence, he was not to be found.
