Good morning, readers. Today is Tuesday, October 30. Some employees at entertainment companies in Burbank could soon be facing layoffs.
More than 175 employees at companies such as Disney, NBCUniversal and Technicolor Creative Services will likely be laid off starting in December, many as a result of outsourcing custodial services, reports the Burbank Leader.
A budgetary shortfall could result in the closure of the Colony Theatre in Burbank. In order to remain open, the company must raise $49,000 in the next two weeks and $500,000 by the end of the year, reports the Los Angeles Times.
