The death of a Burbank teen struck and killed by a Metro Red Line train in Studio City last Friday was ruled a suicide, coroner’s officials said.
Paramedics responded to the Universal/Studio City station around 11:50 a.m., where David Ferrer, 19, was found dead on the tracks.

Ferrer graduated from John Burroughs High School in 2013.

The cause of death was blunt force head trauma, said Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter.

The fatality was the second connected to Metro rail service on Friday, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Earlier in the day, a man was found shot to death in the pedestrian walkway of the Blue Line’s Artesia station.
