The following were taken from reports filed with the Burbank Police Department.

Area 1

200 block of West Alameda Avenue

At 10:39 p.m. on Oct. 18, a man walked into the Arco gas station and demanded money from the clerk while pointing a handgun. The man — described as black and between 30 and 35 years old and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build — placed the cash in a backpack and was last seen going northbound from the rear of the gas station.

Police were unable to locate the man. He was clean-shaven and wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and dark gloves.

2900 block of North San Fernando Boulevard

At 10:40 p.m. on Oct. 19, officers approached a man and woman standing near a vehicle in the Ramada Inn parking lot. During the conversation, the man, Jesus Luna, 26, of Lincoln Heights, allegedly admitted to being on parole and receiving a stolen handgun. When the officers recovered the weapon from the car, it was allegedly loaded, cocked and ready to fire. Luna and the woman, Christine Danielson, 33, of Palmdale, were detained on suspicion of possessing items for the purpose of committing identity theft.

The weapon was found to be stolen four years ago during a home burglary in Los Angeles.

Area 2

900 block of East Providencia Avenue

At 7 p.m. on Oct. 16, a next-door neighbor scared off two would-be burglars after he saw two suspicious men standing next to his neighbor’s home. The man approached the boys, both between the ages of 15 and 18, to ask what they were doing and they quickly ran off. He observed the window screen had been cut, but no entry had been made.

One suspect was described as wearing a dark colored “beanie” and had long brown hair. The other was between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall.
