A 22-year-old Victorville rapper, formerly of the hip-hop duo New Boyz, was arrested in Burbank Tuesday evening on suspicion of three outstanding arrest warrants, police said.

Earl Benjamin, part of the pair best known for viral hit “You’re a Jerk,” was arrested at the Ramada Inn, located at 2900 North San Fernando Blvd., after police discovered three warrants for his arrest for failing to appear in court, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

Two of those cases appear to stem from incidents in which Benjamin was allegedly driving with a suspended license, Ryburn added.

New Boyz also recorded hit single “Tie Me Down,” featuring Ray J, which along with “You’re a Jerk,” peaked in the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100.
