Girl Scout Daisy Troop visits thrift shop

Burbank Girl Scout Daisy Troop 631-6 and their leaders, Lisa Tobey, Carey Sanchez and Ashlynn Wright, visited LaProvidencia Guild Thrift Shop. This was a thank-you opportunity to plant their Master Project “ Mini Garden” in the flower boxes of the thrift shop.

The Burbank Girl Scout Daisy Troop 631-6, comprised of nine kindergarten girls, are in their first year of Girl Scouting. Some of their other activities include Burbank Plant a Tree and Take Action Project. They also donated a new American doll to Dolly Monte, second vice president, as a donation to the La Providencia Guild of Childrens Hospital Thrift Shop.

Founded in 1901, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles has been treating seriously ill children for more than a century, and it is acknowledged throughout the United States and around the world for its leadership in pediatric and adolescent health. Childrens Hospital is one of America’s premier teaching hospitals affiliated with USC’s Keck School of Medicine since 1932. It is a national leader in pediatric research.
