Share

Roughly 50 employees were evacuated from a Burbank business after a dust collector caught fire, authorities said.

Firefighters were called to Senior Aerospace – located at 2980 N. San Fernando Blvd. – at 4:16 p.m. to knock down the fire, which did not appear to affect the structure, said Burbank Fire Capt. Peter Hendrickson.

Further details were not immediately available.

[UPDATE: 8:15 p.m.] The fire was contained before 6 p.m., according to Hendrickson.

The fire was the second reported in Burbank on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, an elderly couple was evacuated from a burning triplex where fire in the attic caused the roof to collapse into the building, authorities said.
