Sports Roundup: Bell-Jeff boys’ basketball notches Santa Fe League win

BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Bellarmine-Jefferson 75, St. Genevieve 62: Abid Oses scored 28 points Friday to pace the Guards to the Santa Fe League win on the road.

Isaac Etter added 14 points and Clark Thomas chopped in 13 for Bell-Jeff (15-9, 5-2).

Providence 77, Indian Springs 24: The Pioneers improved to 11-9 on the season with the resounding nonleague victory Friday at home.

Burroughs 73, Arcadia 63: Amaad Wainwright had 30 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and four assists to pace the Indians to a Pacific League win Friday on the road.

David Schwer added 13 points for Burroughs (16-8, 8-4).

Bellarmine-Jefferson 65, Salesian 59: Abid Oses poured in 24 points Wednesday evening to help pace the Guards to a Santa Fe League win on the road.

Clark Thomas added 15 points and Isaac Etter contributed 12 for Bell-Jeff .

Crescenta Valley 55, Burbank 49: On the road Wednesday evening, the Bulldogs dropped the Pacific League game.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Providence 44, Archer 24: The Pioneers had little trouble winning the Liberty League game Friday at home.

Katia Dabbaghian had 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals and Rachel Camonayan chipped in 11 points for Providence (14-6, 5-1).

Burbank 49, Hoover 37: The Bulldogs remained in second place in the Pacific League with the victory Friday on the road.

Yazzy Sa’Dullah paced Burbank (17-9, 9-3) with 22 points.

Burroughs 69, Pasadena 26: The Indians remained in first place with the easy Pacific League victory Wednesday on the road.

Burroughs received 18 points from Sidney Ortega, who tallied all of her points in the first half. Teammate Kamryn Cardenaz added 10 points, Abby Ibarra had six steals and five assists and Alondra Ramirez has five assists and three steals.

GIRLS’ SOCCER
Burbank 6, Hoover 2: The Bulldogs (10-4-3, 8-3-1) got the Pacific League victory Friday to stay tied for second place in league with Crescenta Valley.

Arcadia 1, Burroughs 0: The Indians (7-9-2, 6-4-2) fell at home against the league-league Apaches on Friday.

Pasadena 1, Burroughs 0: The Indians couldn’t generate any offense in falling Wednesday in the Pacific League match at Memorial Field.

BOYS’ SOCCER
Hoover 3, Burbank 2: Burbank fell to 1-11 in the Pacific League after suffering the loss Friday at the hands of the Tornadoes.

Crescenta Valley 7, Burbank 0: The Bulldogs fell on the road Wednesday in a Pacific League match.
