El tercera base Tommy La Stella y el jardinero derecho Kole Calhoun aportaron sendos cuadrangulares de dos carreras en el quinto episodio, el campo corto David Fletcher batió su mejor marca con cinco remolcadas y los Angelinos de Los Angeles vencieron este jueves 11-5 a los Yanquis de Nueva York y evitaron una barrida en su serie de cuatro partidos.

La Stella botó la pelota fuera del parque por séptima vez y rompió el empate con el jardinero Mike Trout y Calhoun para erigirse en el máximo jonroneador del equipo, después que en las anteriores temporadas de profesional nunca había pegado más de cinco cuadrangulares.
