La selección de Alemania se impuso en la final disputada en San Petersburgo a Chile (1-0) y conquistó la Copa Confederaciones de Rusia 2017, la primera que logra en su historia el combinado germano.
El campeón del Mundo logró el título gracias al gol obtenido a los veinte minutos por Lars Stindl, centrocampista del Borussia Mönchengladbach.
El triunfo de Alemania termina con el dominio de Brasil, campeón en las últimas tres ediciones y la selección con más éxitos en esta competición, cuatro.
