En Bellator de San José, Gegard Mousasi (44-6-2), campeón de peso mediano, venció a Rory MacDonald (20-5), campeón de peso welter que había subido para retar al monarca mundial pero que cayó por nocaut a los 3:23 del segundo round, en lo que fue la contienda estelar de la función de Bellator 206. En otras peleas, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (38-13) derrotó a Wanderlei Silva (35-14) por nocaut en el segundo asalto. Douglas Lima (30-7) venció a Andrey Koreshkov (21-3) por sumisión en el quinto asalto. También, Aaron Pico (4-1) doblegó a Leandro Higo (18-5) por nocaut en el primer round.
