El Real Madrid dio por finalizada una racha de cuatro victorias en fila en la Liga española al perder 1-0 ante el Espanyol.
Al cuadro merengue le costó mucho no tener en el campo figuras como Cristiano Ronaldo, Luca Modric y Toni Kroos, quienes recibieron descanso, y un descuido en el último instante del partido para registrar el descalabro.
Ahora, los blancos, con 51 puntos, pueden caer al cuarto lugar de la tabla en caso de que el Valencia (49) gana en la Jornada 26 y también ponerse a 17 unidades del líder Barcelona.
El duelo se definió cuando, al minuto 93 Sergio García mandó un centro al área rival que remató de primera instancia Gerard Moreno, disparo que no pudo alcanzar el arquero Keylor Navas.
El descalabro fue resultado de una nula capacidad futbolística del Madrid, el cual se vio carente en zona ofensiva, donde ni Gareth Bale, Lucas Vázquez o Marco Asensio pudieron generar peligro real, ni siquiera el ingreso de Karim Benzema cambió el rumbo.
Por su parte, el Espanyol cortó una racha de siete juegos sin ganar y se coloco de momento en el lugar 13 de la clasificación con 31 puntos.
